Sustainable
comfort
at the edge of the Jungle
Welcome to The Rapti Nest, your home away from home at the gateway to the wilderness. Our B&B is created for travelers who seek a balance between comfort and the untamed beauty of nature, all at an affordable price.
Nestled on the edge of the world-renowned Chitwan National Park, The Rapti Nest offers a unique setting where the sounds of the jungle gently wake you in the morning, while the serenity of the Nepalese countryside invites you to slow down and fully unwind.
Here, you can experience the mystery and magic of the jungle in a responsible and sustainable way. We are committed to keeping the ecological footprint of your stay as small as possible, so you can enjoy nature while helping to preserve it.
Why choosing The Rapti Nest?
At The Rapti Nest, you enjoy the best of both worlds. You are only moments away from pristine nature, yet at the same time surrounded by the authentic rhythm of the village life.
Unlike large, secluded resorts, our guesthouse places you are right in the heart of a local community. You will witness everyday life unfold around you, smell the aromas of home-cooked meals, and experience the sincere hospitality that Nepal is known for.
This is a place where life is lived simply and genuinely. It is perfect for travelers who are looking for peace and quiet, but who also want to stay connected to the true heartbeat of Nepal.

A special
story:
Doma and Jurgen
The Rapti Nest was born from the remarkable meeting between Doma, Nepal's first female nature guide, and Jurgen, a Belgian tourist who has lost his heart to this country. Together, they created a place where East and West come together on a natural way.
We do not aim to offer a standard hotel experience. Instead, we have built something personal, meaningful, and unique. We want our guests to feel part of our lives and to share in our passion for this extraordinary region.
Rather than staying in an anonymous hotel room, you will find a warm and welcoming nest where personal stories, cultural exchange, and genuine friendships are at the center of the experience.
We believe that travel is more than simply visiting a destination. It's about creating real connections, just as we did ourselves. Our hope is that long after you have returned home, you will still look back fondly on your adventures in Nepal.
Unique eco-friendly accommodation
For us, sustainability is not a marketing slogan; it is a way of life.
At The Rapti Nest, we make conscious choices every day to reduce waste and minimize pollution. From reusable shopping bags to environmentally friendly household practices, we do everything we can to live and work responsibly.
We believe in slow, meaningful, and regenerative travel. Travel that not only enriches your own life, but also has a positive impact on the local community and natural surroundings.
All jungle activities are organized directly by us, always with respect for wildlife and without any animal-unfriendly practices.
And if you would like to experience Nepalese culture in a more personal way, you are warmly welcome to join us in the kitchen and help prepare a traditional Nepalese meal with our own unique twist. In doing so, you actively support a local economy that values both nature and culture.
